Manufacturers choose tracer-gas leak testing when they need higher sensitivity, faster cycle times, and better reliability than conventional leak detection methods can deliver
Helium leak testing uses helium as a tracer to detect tiny leaks quickly and reliably. This method is widely used for components such as EV batteries, fuel systems, heat exchangers, valves, and high-pressure vessels, where even tiny leaks can cause performance or safety issues.
Hydrogen leak detection uses a safe, diluted tracer gas mixture of 5% hydrogen and 95% nitrogen to locate micro-leaks in complex assemblies. This method combines excellent sensitivity with lower tracer-gas costs, making it attractive for high-volume industrial adoption.
Cosmo’s standard helium gas recovery system helps reduce helium consumption and operating costs in high-volume leak-testing environments. The system recovers, purifies, and recirculates helium from the test process, maintaining performance while improving sustainability.
