Q1.Can the average pressure be measured when the pressure fluctuation is high?

A

  • Can the average pressure be measured when the pressure fluctuation is high?DP-340BA is equipped with a digital filter, so it can be used to display the average pressure value.Digital filters have filter effects of small, medium, and large, each sampling 3 times, 7 times, and 20 times respectively, and are programmed to display the moving average.
  • Other pressure gauges include some which can perform electrical processing, called response delay circuit. This depends on the model. Contact us for details.
  • There is a way to make the measurement response less sensitive by reducing pressure before the pressure inlet. This is a very dangerous method. We recommend avoiding it.

Q2.Are there any restrictions on fluids to be measured for pressure?

A

  • As a rule, pressure gauges which can measure differential pressure limit the fluids which can be measured to air or noncorrosive gas.Noncorrosive gas refers to gases which do not corrode copper, aluminum, solder, and brass.
  • The pressure gauge for measuring gauge pressure contains stainless steel (SUS630) and Viton O-rings. Fluids which do not corrode these can be measured, whether they be liquid or gas.A stainless steel with higher corrosion resistance (SUS316) is also used.

Q3.Can users perform pressure calibration on their own?

A

  • Yes, if they have a master meter or a reference standard for pressure. For specific calibration methods, please ask your service maintenance representative.

Q4.Do pressure gauges have positional errors?

A

  • The zero point changes when the pressure gauge is tilted or turned over. However, the inaccuracy of the span from the variation is negligible. Release it to atmospheric pressure in the position of use to calibrate it to zero.It can then be used normally.
However, the minute ranges whose full-scale range is below 500 Pa will be affected, since the pressure-sensing components are extremely soft.

Q5.How to initialize AF-2201 (AF-2200N)

A

1.Caution when initializing
When the product is initialized, all channel settings, user spans, and other settings will be cleared and will revert to the manufacturer’s settings.
If any of the present setting values are necessary, record them and set them again after initialization.
Also, the machine’s kernel values are necessary for initialization. The kernel values are recorded on the inspection report. Have it ready.
2. Initialization steps
  1. Have the inspection report ready.
  2. Turn on the power.
  3. Using the keyboard, enter [1] [3] [5] [7] to unlock the keyboard lock.
  4.  [FUN] [C] [0] [C]. …The display will change and automatic initialization will begin.
  5. When initialization is complete, enter the kernel values, as follows.
This is also included on the user’s manual. Please refer to it.
    Press [1] [3] [5] [0] [START] [STOP].
Enter the kernel value of kernel No. 0 and press[ENT]
Enter the kernel value of kernel No. 1 and press[ENT]
Enter the kernel value of kernel No. 2 and press[ENT]
Enter the kernel value of kernel No. 3 and press[ENT]
Enter the kernel value of kernel No. 4 and press[ENT]
Enter the kernel value of kernel No. 5 and press[ENT]
  6. Machine mode enter [FUN] [2]
    • Enter the MODE value recorded on the inspection report.
For example, if the MODE value is 0000
      [0] [0] [0] [0] [ENT] enters 0000 for MODE.
  7. Reduced temperature
    • The initial reduced temperature after initialization is set to 20°C. Change this
      Fusing [FUN] [8].
    • For example, to set it to 0°C, [0] [0] [0] [ENT]
    • For settings other than 20°C, each channel setting must also be changed. The channel copy function is used for this purpose.
      [1] [3] [5] [1] [CH]
  8. This completes the setup. It can be used after restarting.

Q6.How to initialize DF-2800/2810

Enter the kernel value of kernel No. 1 and press[ENT]
    Continue in the same manner
Enter the kernel value of kernel No. 25 and press[ENT]
  6. (6) Reduced temperature
    • The initial reduced temperature after initialization is set to 20°C. Change this using [FUN] [2].
    • For example, to set it to 0°C, [0] [0] [0] [ENT]
    • For settings other than 20°C, each channel setting must also be changed. The channel copy function is used for this purpose.
      [1] [3] [5] [1] [CHSET]
  7. (7) This completes the setup. It can be used after restarting.

Q7.Can flow of liquids be measured?

A

At Cosmo Instruments, we offer only flow meters for use with gases.

Q8.Inaccuracies when measuring flow of gases other than air

A

This explanation pertains to equipment using a laminar flow meter (laminar tubes). This flow sensor takes measurements using the viscosity of air. When measuring gases other than air, the inaccuracy will be the same as the ratio of its viscosity. For example, let the viscosity of air be A and the viscosity of the gas to be measured be B. When that gas is measured using the flow meter, the displayed value multiplied by (A/B) would be the value of the volumetric flow rate of that gas.
